Hi there! My name is Joni. I’m a digital marketer by day and a netrepreneur by night. I’m a daughter, a sister, a friend, and just recently–a wife. I got married last October 25, 2014 to my boyfriend of eight years. I was born in Manila and raised in Bacolod City, I’m a proud Ilongga. For over five years, I lived in my small condominium in Makati City, until I got married and my husband and I chose to settle permanently in the southern part of Metro Manila. So far I’m loving it in the south.

I spend most of my time in front of a computer whether for work or personal, but when I’m not I’m just hanging out at home, singing my heart out while driving around, on a vacation in a faraway place, on a coffee date with friends, out to catch the latest movie, watching my favorite TV series, or reading a novel. My favorite authors are Haruki Murakami, J.K. Rowling and George R.R. Martin. I enjoy contemporary Christian music and I am a forever fan of FRIENDS. Believe it or not, I still watch this TV show almost every night to lull me to sleep.

I am a coffee drinker. I don’t want to call it an addiction and I don’t know if it’s connected at all but my head seriously hurts if I don’t drink coffee at least once a day. I love to travel with my husband and the rest of our travel buddies. We have been to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand and Japan and it’s our goal in life to add more to this list. Italy and Greece (and the rest of Europe) are my dream destinations. I’m an SDI certified scuba diver though I haven’t gone back down for a long time. The scariest, most daring thing I have ever done is jump off an airplane.

I have been blogging since 2004, albeit rather inconsistently. Between now and then, I write random stuff about what I do, where I’ve been, the people I love, and just about anything that I feel deserves my time killing brain cells over to weave words and photographs. Evidently, I have a love-hate relationship with blogging. I hate how I feel pressured to write every time I remember I have a blog, but I love the feeling of ‘release’ every time I actually finish a post and hit publish.

Now that I have just embarked on this new journey called marriage, this blog will now be covering new topics about this new life my husband and I are starting out. Intentionally or not, I tend to do a lot of things in my life on a whim. I guess that’s how I get by and it works for me. This blog has been and will be continuing to document my “little whims.”

Above everything, I am a Christian. I believe in the one true God and that salvation is only through His son, Jesus Christ. Through all the ups and downs, my faith in Christ remains the anchor and the driving force in my life. One day when I’m face-to-face with my Savior, I would also like to be able to say that “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Welcome and enjoy your stay! :)

I saw your post in Gail Villanueva’s blog about paypal and I’d like to ask for your help sana. Will you pls. give me instructions on how I can transfer the money from my paypal acct to my bpi savings acct. I think they ask for information like bank code and of course the acct number. The acct number for bpi is only 10-digits long while in the paypal screen you have to enter 16-digits number. Pls help me. Thanks!

    Amazing Blogzzzzzzz…..

Hi Malou! Bank code for BPI is 010040018. Paypal is only asking for 9 digits. On your dashboard, click “Withdraw” > “Withdraw funds to your bank account” > “Add bank account”. Your paypal account needs to be verified before you’d be able to do this.

Joni, you are the best! I have been using your website design, Forever Autumn 1.0, for our church’s website for almost a year. I got it through WordPress. Now I read that you are a Christian. How amazing! Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hi Joni,

I’m a psychologist in the US (Hartford, CT). I’ve been looking for a WordPress template for a revamp of our charitable agency’s website (Volunteers In Psychotherapy) … and in searching 3 column free options, I saw your Daily Digest 3.0 …. but everytime I try to preview it, I’m redirected to other templates.

Can you tell me if it’s still available? Thanks for any help you can give us… it looks like something we might modify to suit our site.

    Hi Joni,
Liked your blog. Loved the photos.
I am an Irish born newbie “how-to” e-book writer/wouldfd-be online publisher.
I need a simple blog an a website I can hopefully manage myself and use to promote my ebooks. What might it cost please?

    Cheers and best wishes.
